Welcome to WMOC 2021 Hungary!

It is to our greatest pleasure to announce that Hungary has won the right to host the 2021 World Masters Orienteering Championships, that will take place between 7-13th August 2021. Our country has a long history in successfully organising the most prestigious international orienteering competitions, including the 2011 WMOC. Our club, the Tabáni Spartacus SKE of Budapest has the honour to work as the main organiser, and our young but experienced team has started carrying out preparatory work with great enthusiasm. The event centre will be in the city of Velence, on the shore of Lake Velence, located 35 minutes from the capital.

Entries via IOF Eventor are already open, with 3rd of May being the first entry deadline. We will launch the COVID-19 page of this website in March 2021, where you can expect updates from us twice every month. While everything remains uncertain due to the pandemic, our organising committee stays hopeful that the championships will take place next summer as planned and that Hungary will be able to welcome the best masters athletes from around the world.

For more information see Bulletin 1.

We are looking forward to your entries and hope to see you in 2021!
